Probably my favorite of the series, because there is so much going on in this book. Others have already outlined the story so I won't repeat too much. I just want to cast my vote for my favorite Tijan book LOL! And that was mainly due to the Kate/Sam/Broudou plot line, which I found to be brilliant. One star off because I hated the ending with Tate's lies. I already read the next books so I know what happened in Fourth Down, my least favorite because Sam would never have been that weak and whiney. But I digress LOL.
Also because, as usual, whomever proofs for Tijan does a terrible job and she needs to get her money back. I'm not a great editor but I am an excellent proof reader due to nuns teaching me grammar, syntax and spelling... Parochial school provided an excellent educational background. Tijan's books have terrific plots (except for Fourth Down) but her technical writing needs help.
Otherwise this is great, and a fantastic contribution to the series.
ETA: After reading other reviews, I do get why some didn't like Mason's plan for Kate. What I want to say about this, is that I do not understand why Sam and her father did not press charges. So what if Kate's uncle is a cop? That shouldn't have made a difference, and there were definitely witnesses to the beating. Sam was seriously injured. Yes, it could have changed the story arc, but it could have been worked around. So I do agree that, even though the plan was ingenious, there still should have been more punishment than just in-school suspension. The cop uncle should never have had that kind of power when Sam was injured so badly.

Fallen Crest Public Fallen Crest Series Book 3 edition by Tijan Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Oh dear god this one wins for most crap that happens that doesn’t make sense. I can’t stop you guys. I might need an intervention. These books are so ridiculously over the top and I shouldn’t like them but I am addicted to the drama they provide. Halp!
Somehow every male in her school district wants her and every female in her town hates her and wants her boyfriend Mason and his brother Logan. (OK, I admit I want Logan, he’s dreamy). Its filled with trope after trope and cliche after cliche. But…. I like it. Dang it what is wrong with me? Was I not loved enough as a child, like Sam. Actually….we are not gonna go there. Moving on…
Sam is such a pushover playing at being tough. Instead of ignoring the girls she pays attention to them. Everyone one knows if you pay attention to them, it gives them power. I was a bit of a mean girl in HS but DANG, I never did any of this crap. These girls were psychotic!
I wasn’t expecting the amount of violence in this book since the other books had been straddling the line between violent and quasi-violent. This book said, “Nope. We are gonna mess you up real good this time around.”
The ending! OMG, the ending was just so…un-freaking-believable. No, I mean like that would never happen…ever. This world that Tijan has built is full of shallow females who think that sex is power and men that treat women like objects.
And yet, its still a 4 star for me. What is wrong with me?
Book three starts right where book two left off. This book focused more on Sam starting at public High School and the challenges she faces with being the most hated person there. Girls are jealous of her connection to the Kade's and they take every opportunity to make sure she knows that she isn't welcome. Going much further than I hope is reality.
Because of this, I was frustrated through some of this book. The Sam we saw in book one never took crap and stood up for herself. Book two had her cowering to her mother and dealing with her brand of crazy. In this book, Sam was so determined to not get Mason and Logan involved with the bullying that she looked like she was cowering to the Tommy P's. I wanted the feisty Sam back.
We do get a resolution to the Tommy P's by the end of the book. Sam was strong but in a different way and I'll admit I wasn't completely satisfied with how the whole situation was dealt with. Still, this has been an very addicting series and I'm looking forward to the next in the series.
